Okay so I really need to step away from the machine!! However Jon David needed this shopping cart cover and the pattern was only 3 dollars on etsy. Well that is my justification! I bet Brian is thinking he should have went with the necklace for my Christmas present!

**I know the picture would have been cuter with a model but it is naptime. Well for everyone but Jenna who is upstairs singing with her cd player that has a microphone. Why we thought her voice needed to be amplified is a question I am asking myself right now!

My sewing machine was calling to me today so I made this little romper to practice making button holes. The top is a little wacky but the back of the pattern called for an opening that I didn't like. This was the most boy looking material that I had but he is cutie anyway!!

We have really enjoyed ourselves the past few days. I have lots of pictures but I will post more later. But I wanted you to see that here at the Buck house we believe that nothing should go to waste!!

The kiddos and I went over to my friend Cassie's today for a little birthday party for baby Jesus. Cupcakes, great friends, and a divine cup of coffee is my kind of afternoon!

how to...

I have been asked how do you have time to sew? Well it is really all about finding 30 minutes here and there when everyone is a little bit occupied!

I have been working on a pair of pants for Ms J. My sewing machine sits on the edge of my dresser. It used to be in my closet but I had a hard time keeping one eye on the kiddos and another on my project. Today however all the little people were busy and I finished them!

She ditched the princess gear for her bathing suit this morning. She said she was a mermaid today.

This is the teacher coming out in me. It is Christmas and I think there should be a Christmas program even if the participants are in their pj's.

I had a chance last weekend to get the kiddos all dressed up for a Christmas card photo shoot. Of course this came with the promise of chocolate but the results were just as sweet!

Humility

I know there are times when I get the big head. Today I took the kiddos to the mall to see Santa. We had a great morning. I was even showered and had on makeup. I put Jenna in that sweet pillowcase dress I made. She was a doll. We headed off to the mall, I returned something for my cousin in Macy's then walked across the mall to Santa. Kiddos were fantastic. They even took a picture with him and I haven't had a Santa picture since Nate's first Christmas when he was 6 months old. So I am feeling good so off we go to the other side of the mall to see if I could find Jenna some new tights. On the way we ran into a couple from church and another friend from my MOPS group. As we where talking I looked down to realize that the vest that I was wearing was on INSIDE OUT!! Now how do you play that off?! I just had to laugh. Hello humility my name is Kelly...

Now since this is my blog I will show off my sweet girl in all her cuteness!

I know the saying goes that the best gifts are not under the tree, but today mine were.

She's Ready!

I spent the day sewing with Shelly (she is the master teacher!) at Mom's to get Miss Jenna's christmas dress finished. I used pink and green so hopefully we can get a little more wear out of it even after the holidays. The big kiddos went with me and Jon David and Daddy had the house all to their selves. It was a long but very productive day!


Auntie whipped up a shirt to match the minky pants that I made last week. I love it!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

This birthday girl made out like a bandit! Nanny made her a red velvet cake from scratch that was divine!

We made sure that Nate's piece came from that side!

Nanny and Pa got her a new bicycle and fairy dress along with red slippers. Uncle Hal and Sus gave her a box with 6 pairs of dress up shoes. She has shoes to match everything!

This is what mommy and daddy got her. It comes with a doctor dress up but I am sure you know where this ranks next to the fairy dress!!

This sweet baby went to the doctor this morning with an ear infection. Hopefully he will start resting better soon. I really can't believe that he is 8 months old today!

We went to Paducah this weekend for Thanksgiving and celebrated an early birthday for Jenna

We took the kids out this week to buy toys for the Operation Christmas Child. Jenna was not thrilled about it.
