A whole lot of Random..

 This post is a whole lot of random or, in other words, I finally dumped all the pictures off my phone!
My big kiddos started riding the bus. Let me tell you it is a beautiful thing.  No more afternoon car pool line and they are actually home faster.  Win Win!

 A few weeks ago I went on a little road trip by myself.  It was crazy not having my little travelers with me but I did make it to TN faster than I ever have before:)

 It is such a blessing to come home to friendships that pick up right where they leave off.  I also got to spend time with my BF Cassie and her crew.  Sushi, coffee talk and an early morning run..felt just like the old days:)

 I met up with Nana then it was off to VA to spend some QT with Auntie!! It is SO beautiful and I loved soaking up every minute with them. 

 The cutest pumpkin in the patch!!  I am trying not to think about this little bit heading to school next year:(

 Guess I forgot to edit this one!  We went to a Duck Dynasty Bday party.  Get your beard on!

 Last Sunday J and I went to see the Duggar Family at a local church,  It was so much fun!  The closest we got to a photo opp was the bus.  That line went forever.  Texas folks love the Duggars;)

 Happy Halloween!  We spent the evening with our buddies the Bakers.

 The whole crew!  Elissa and I stayed behind to hand out the candy. Someone had to!

 This wild man's team made it to the Super Bowl this Sat.  They are the underdogs but everyone loves a good underdog team right?!  Go White Team!!

 Out of order but these are the projects we completed while at Auntie's. 

N's class had to decorate a pumpkin.  We made Chicken Little.  Projects are hard for a crafty moma but even harder for a crafty sister.  She kept trying to take over!

I can't believe we are already in Nov! All the Christmas stuff already out is making me sweat.  We have a sweet girlie birthday coming fast so I am off to mail invites!

Football!!

 It's football time again!!  I so wished this meant that we had to wear jackets and sip coffee at the ball games.  But this is Texas in October, which means we can still wear our shorts and flip flops:)  I can't wait to feel that crisp fall air hopefully it is not that far away!  The picture above cracks me up.  I guess he was waiting on the guy to break free.

 We usually have a little entertainment going on the side lines.

 Game Day!!  I missed his first game due to a girls trip to IKEA.  Hubs was sweet and took the camera for me.

Next week Nana and I are taking a road trip to Virginia to see Auntie.  I can not wait!!!  This is the longest time that I have ever been away from the trio but I am leaving them in very capable hands.  Nanny and Pa are coming to town and with Hubs I am sure I will barely be missed.  I am packing all my cardigans and boots and hoping that the fall weather will follow me home.

Here we go Part 2!

 Our sweet boy started preschool this morning.  It is only on Tues Thurs.  He was so excited!! 

 That backpack is as big as him!

He was all smiles when I picked him up so I would count that as a success!

Here we go!!

I sure am going to miss these two during the day but I still have my sidekick for one more year and he has yet to quit talking to me this morning!  Happy First Day of School!!

Friday Fun

 Before I get into our adventure today, I just had to share this pic of us getting to Skype with Auntie and H on Wed.  I love technology:)  Now on to our adventure..

 The trio and I loaded up and went on a short road trip to the Gator and Friends Petting Zoo today.  It is right outside of Shreveport.  We had so much fun!  Cassie your crew would LOVE this place:)

 We feed deer, lamas, goats and even went on a pony ride.

 This is not a great pic but the guy in the yellow was feeding the gators and they were HUGE.  Jd kept saying ooh I want to see them battle!

And of course the highlight holding a baby gator..not to worry Nana I have you a copy printed!
It was a fun trip to begin our last weekend before school starts Monday.  Happy Weekend!!

Missioncation

 In July we loaded up the trio and went on a mission trip with our church.  They call it Missioncation because we served a local children's home in San Antonio but also had lots of time for play.

 This was in the mornings before we headed out for the day.  I believe nothing bonds you as a family better than staying in a motel room together!

 We ate at great restaurants each night.  There were kiddos everywhere!

 Sis got called on to participate with a street magician. 

 The last day we were there, we headed to Schlitterbahn.  It is a huge water park just outside of San Antonio.

 He played until literally he could not go any more!

 It was such a fun week.  It was a great way to let your kiddos see how a community can serve others.  We were very proud of the trio and how each stepped out of their comfort zones ( mom and dad too!) to be the hands and feet.
