1st tooth

Our big boy lost his first tooth last night! He was so excited. This morning he was REALLY excited when he saw that his tooth turned into a dollar. We figured J spent most of church today trying to talk someone into knocking one of hers out so she could cash in!

Is it January or May?!

Can't say that we are not loving this Texas winter weather!!

A few projects..

I spend last weekend working on a couple of outfits for miss J.


I found the tutorial for this skirt on Pinterest. Very cute and very fast. I am all about a 30 minute project!


I am always at a loss on how to decorate my mantle. So even though it is Jan, I wanted to break out the Valentines vibe. I used Styrofoam balls and covered them with fabric that was in my stash.


This wreath also came from a tutorial on Pinterest. I have it pinned under home decor if you want to take a look. I used knit material that I found at Hancock's on clearance. It was about a yard that I got for 1.90. The wreath form came from Micheal's. It was about 7 dollars with my 40% off coupon. I am still trying to decided if I want to put something else with it or leave it simple.
We joined a church last weekend. It is such a settling feeling to have a church home now. The kiddos love it and we are looking forward to plugging in!

Lego Table

My big boy loves Lego's. I saw a blog recently that showed how to DIY your own Lego table and I thought I could do that! So Hubs ordered the pieces, I bought the gorilla glue and viola, a Lego table:)

Getting back in the groove..

I love this picture! We are getting back into the groove after the whirlwind holiday season. We spent the week after Christmas in TN soaking up some family time. I did not get my camera out once. The kiddos did great with all the traveling. Here are a few pics from Christmas morning (which was a day early at the our house).

I have been working on a few projects since we have been home. I am loving Pinterest. There just are not enough hours in a day to do all those crafts! Here are a few that I have..

This was a frame that I have had forever. I took the glass, sprayed it with chalkboard paint and let it dry overnight. I used my Cricut for the word "menu". Now I have a weekly menu for the whole fam to see.

I was not as excited about the lettering on this one. It messed up on me but it works for the time being. The rack is from Hobby Lobby, half off of course!

I had the kiddos pics taken by a dear friend of mine before we left TN. She did an AMAZING job. I finally got them ordered and framed.
