auntie passed this dress along to us but it had H's monogram on it, so this morning I made this button tab to cover the monogram and I just love how it turned out!


and of course I had to make a matching one for little brother..okay now I am off to the dishes for real this time:)

My last post was from a snow day and today we are snowed in again. I am so ready for spring!! Here are a few pics of what we have been up to the past few days. We have changed up our homeschool routine and incorporated the workbox strategy and it is WONDERFUL!

Yesterday we used flour in shallow pans to write letters and shapes. It was messy but very fun:)

Well I have a sink full of dishes so I better get to it... Happy Weekend!

Snow Day

When Brian left the house this morning he said "have fun in the snow today." I told him I didn't think I could get everyone dressed and out there by myself. My plan was to go out and bring some snow in and let them play with it in the kitchen but by that time kiddos were out in the cove and my three were glued to the windows wanting to play too.

We walked up to our neighbors house and played outside with them for a little bit. By this time everyone was getting a little cold and edgy!

After we were inside, we had snowcream and hot chocolate.

Now lunch is over, kitchen is clean, kiddos are in their rooms for rest/nap time and this moma is headed to the sewing machine:) Happy Snow Day!

I saw a tutorial for this cute crayon apron while looking for the crayon roll tutorial and thought my girl needs one of those!
(even if we are wearing our turkey shirt in January)

Happy New Year! We had a great Christmas celebration on New Year's Eve at Nana's and Granddaddy's. I have LOTS of pictures but need a little more time to get that post together. We played Minute to Win it games and little Texas Hold'em. We had many many laughs and many cranky kiddos the next day but it was very worth it. On to this week, it has been back to the school house for me and Nate. Jenna has a little friend who is having a birthday party this weekend. I have been wanting to try this little tutorial for awhile now and I am tickled with how it turned out.


This is a little drawstring bag and crayon roll to match. I love love love the website Prudent Baby, I want to be them when I grown up!! They have both of these handy tutorials FOR FREE!! Love love love it!!


Add coloring books and crayons and Viola, a birthday gift:)
