This & That

I have been a blog slacker lately without a good excuse! We have been trying to stay cool around here and enjoy what is left of the summer time.

I found this website that has more crafts that I can get to in a lifetime! I loved these headbands so I made matching ones.

Kindergarten here we come! My curriculum came in the mail yesterday. I think I am more excited than anyone:)

Who is this handsome rider you ask, why none other than our cool daddy. I got a cleaned out garage in the deal so I say ride on daddy-o!

Projects for less

I have been wanting some things to hang on J's walls. I saw this canvas on etsy for 85.oo. It was really cute but there was no way I could swing that so I got the canvas at Hobby Lobby on sale of course, and with the paint it cost about 11 dollars. Granted the other one was fabulous, but I think this one will do just fine! ( sorry about the pink overload, I hadn't opened the curtains when I took this picture!)


This project is why blog stalking is so fun! I saw this on a girl's blog and knew I could do that too. I got the frame at Hobby Lobby for 1.50, brought it home and painted it white. The I hot glued the material to the backing. I then hot glued the ribbons on and there you have it, a hair bow holder that looks like a picture.

I had a girlfriend ask if I would make her a dress for a baby gift. The mommy-to-be used blue birds in her nursery so hopefully this will be right up her alley! I still need to hem it and pull out the holding rows. She is picking it up Sunday so to have it totally complete on Friday would be way out of character for me:)

We decided to take advantage of Daddy being off today and head to the water park. When we got there they were full so we had to wait about an hour to get in. We ate lunch and played at the playground until it was our turn. I mean there were only 14 in our group, you would think they could just squeeze us in!!

Well...

N & J spent the last part of the week with Nana and Granddaddy. JD had fun having the run of the house and having mommy and daddy all to himself.



On Friday I got an e-mail from Brian that goes like this "I really want to take her home. How long would I have to sleep on the couch?" Attached is a picture of a cute little puppy. I respond with " At least a month and you have to clean up the poop!" This was obviously the green light that he needed. So here is Buck baby number 4.... Holly



The kiddos are over the moon for her. Nate was so excited, he said his heart was beating so fast!
I know one daddy and 2 kiddos that will go to bed tonight feeling like our family is complete:)
