I wanted to make miss J a swimsuit but the only pattern I had was the one from last year that was a two piece. So after talking with my BF and seeing the one she whipped up for her little girl I decided to try it. I just used one of J's suits that fit her now as a guide. I think it turned out cute. I do wish that I would have put the lobster a little higher but there is always next time!

Nate turns 6!!

Birthday starts with chocolate donuts

We decided to go with a "water" theme this year so we had LOTS of water balloons, water guns, a slip n' slide and little pool. Mix that with friends and family and this party was a blast!

Our friends have a "water balloon launcher". I didn't get any pictures of the kiddos doing it because I was one of the ones holding it, but as you see here the daddies were ready to play too!

This picture just makes me smile ( and to be honest it puts a few tears in my eyes). The for sale sign is up in my yard and I have cleaned more in the past few days that I have in a LONG time.

But today is all about our sweet boy who is turning 6 so I am off to fill more water balloons and fill up a pinata!! Happy Birthday Nate, You are a true treasure to your daddy and me!

Denial

Yes that is me..denial. I am in complete packing denial. I have told myself for almost a month that I will start getting in the "moving" swing of things after VBS. Well that was last week. So I guess I better get going but then again I can always start tomorrow:)

Eight years ago tonight I went to bed for the last time as a single gal. Happy Anniversary to my sweet man. Thank you for being a wonderful husband and daddy. I can't wait to see what this new adventure has in store for us.

Have you ever had a friend that from the moment that you met, you knew you would be friends for life. That is my Amanda. We meet one summer working at a daycare together. That was about 15 years ago. She loves my kiddos and they absolutely adore her. So when she called this week to see if Jenna wanted to go with her to a dance recital I knew Jenna would be thrilled.
