Oh the weather outside was frightful
but the hum of my sewing machine was so delightful...

I can not believe all the snow! My kiddos were ready to go as soon as the first flake began to fall. We made them wait until about noon. Jon David and I held down the fort inside although he would have been ready to go out at a minutes notice. I have been completely worthless today! I got a new pattern in the mail and just had to try it out. I have sworn to the hubs that I will not touch my machine tomorrow, but I didn't say anything about smocking....

This 10 month old boy found the stairs today. This is our first experience with a little one and stairs. I think I have been in denial but it is time to break out the baby gate!

A few projects

When Brian bought my machine, I became eligible to get 40% off their fabric. So I now have kitchen curtains!


I am a huge fan of etsy. This pattern for a peasant top/dress was just 5 dollars. I warned Brian that today was sewing day and the way my house looks (and Jenna's hair) you can tell! But this was so easy and I am tickled with the results.

This is what I am finding when I go to get JD up from his nap. I can't believe that is already big enough to do this!
Oh and he is so mad in these pictures because I walked out of the room to get the camera instead of scooping him up.

Hello sunshine!

Nate got a BibleMan movie in his stocking at Christmas. Brian and I have had a good laugh about how cheesy it is but the message is great. Well they have LOVED it. So I went to Lifeway the other day and they had the masks and capes. So we have had live performances of BibleMan around here!

I always put the happiest pictures of this baby on here so I thought I would let you see that he does get mad!

He has started crawling like an inch worm! We just know any day he is going to take off.

Since it has been so cold I have had to be a little creative and forgiving! This is cake mix and oats that I poured into 2 tubs so they could play in the dirt. It got a little messy and yes moma I should have put down a sheet!

J is going to start ballet class on Monday. They teach it at our church and I am already there for my smocking class so we thought this would be a good chance for her to try it. I had the outfit, we just had to buy the shoes. I wish it had sleeves but I want to make sure this is something we like before investing too much. Auntie I put the hair bow in for you:)

The kiddos were getting a little shaggy so everyone got a haircut today. I love Jenna's short hair and hope that it will eliminate our nightly hair battles!
