Okay so I am back to the lighter side of blogging!
Amanda and her three adorable little friends came today and we all had a picnic!

Grace

I have,like many these days, been thinking about all the news that is floating around us. Someone losing their baby or a parent or tragic accidents that no one could see coming and wondering what if that were me, could I cope with that. I found this quote and it seemed to answer some of the questions I have been asking myself...
“God has not promised to give us the grace to face all of the desperate situations that we might imagine finding ourselves in. He has promised to sustain us only in the ones that he actually brings us into. He therefore doesn’t promise that we will be able to imagine how we could go through the fire for his sake, but he does promise that if he leads us through the fire, he will give us sufficient grace at that time. Like manna, grace is not something that can be stored up for later use: each day receives its own supply” (Iain Duguid, Daniel, p. 53).
It gives me hope to know that those who are in the fire are not alone and when someday I find myself in the fire, He will be leading. So I hope that if you are reading this and you don't have that hope you will find it in the Savior that longs to walk in the fire with you.

Nate and I had to run some errands tonight after dinner so we left Daddy and Jenna at home. When it got bath time Brian started the water then walked off to sneak a piece of candy while Jenna was distracted by the running water. But as he found the sneaking was on him because when he came back into the bathroom she was already in the tub! Yes in her clothes and dirty diaper!

Yeah the beach!

We had so much fun at the beach! We left on Sunday around two. We arrived at the hotel at about 10:30 and Nate only slept about an hour in the car, he was so excited. He had the stomach bug earlier in the week but we were thinking that was in the clear. So hey we were on vacation so we let him eat and drink junk! Well that came back to haunt us on Monday night he started getting sick again. By Wed he was much better and we got to play longer at the beach and even went to play miniature golf which he loved! I am trying to talk Brian into going back at the end of the summer and taking Jenna with us this time. We will see!
