Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.


19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2: 9-19

A little fun

On the first day Nate was home we broke out the gingerbread house. Lots of fun but it did not last through the evening!

I may have went a bit overboard on sweet Ellen's gift but that is what best friends are for right?! Right now her moma is at the hospital and I have my phone glued to my side. We can not wait to meet you sweet girl. You are loved from Texas and back.

My cricut!!!

I finally talked hubs into giving me my Christmas present early and oh the fun I am having! This is a cheap frame from WalMart, had the fabric, just added the vinyl. But I can't find any of the 20 dry erase markers that are floating around here to write the days!

I just have a couple more projects to finish for Christmas. I can't believe that it is this weekend!

Party Time!

Nate got to were his pjs to school one day this week. He thought this was too funny.

Today was his party at school.

Got these in the mail to a girlfriend yesterday. I have to shut down the sewing for a little bit. My house is a mess right now so I am off to clean.

I just had to put Jenna's Mary and Elizabeth on here. Who knew they had pink and blue hair!

We went to the train museum last week to see the holiday display. The lady then took us on a tour of the museum. As we were talking I found out that she has a sister-in-law from Union City. It really is a small world.

He's coming to town!

The Truth in the Tinsel

As I was looking for an advent calendar this year I came across the e-book called " The Truth in the Tinsel". We have loved it! It has scripture and a craft for 25 days. You can also modify it if you can't do all the days. Last night we talked about Zachariah and Gabriel. We did two last night to catch up from the weekend.

After we finish our craft, we have been putting them on the tree. The yellow fan looking thing by JD is his angel Gabriel.

This was the first night.

We made crowns the second night.

St. Jude Weekend

We loaded up the crew on Friday and headed to Memphis. I have to say that as soon as we crossed the bridge into Tennessee I felt a since of relief. We were back were things are familiar. Don't get me wrong we are enjoying Texas but Cheers was on to something when they said "you want to be where everyone knows your name"! We went to the Peabody to let the kids see the ducks and despite this picture, they were happy to be there. We then went on a trolley ride to pick our race packets. JD loved it. He thought he was riding a train.




We dropped the kiddos off at Brian's cousin's house and headed to our hotel. I am so thankful for Nanny, Pa, Lisa, and John. Without them we could not done this!

I am so proud of Auntie!! This was her first 1/2 and she rocked it. Can't wait till next year, don't worry sis I 'll get you signed up:)

After the race we headed back to hang out with the fam. We went to two ballgames then went out to eat. After our dinner we headed to the zoo to see the lights. Here is the whole crew. The best part was our peeps from Jackson came and meet us for dinner and the zoo. We were SO excited to see them!!

The next morning were treated to doughnuts. Belle spotted an easy target with JD. He likes to share:)

We bundled up Monday night and went to the Christmas parade.


I made J this jacket over the weekend. It is out of fleece and was so easy to put together.


When JD saw that they were throwing candy, he was LOVING the parade.

I finished up J and her doll's matching snowman outfits. I am not loving the bow on J's so I will probably do some work on it tomorrow.

I love this picture. I can't tell you how many nights I went to sleep just like this as a little girl. I thought everyone my age went to sleep in sponge rollers!!

I figured since I made J a jacket that her doll needed a matching one. Yes I have a obsession now! But she did not complain a bit when I woke her up to try it on!!
