Here we go!!

I sure am going to miss these two during the day but I still have my sidekick for one more year and he has yet to quit talking to me this morning!  Happy First Day of School!!

Friday Fun

 Before I get into our adventure today, I just had to share this pic of us getting to Skype with Auntie and H on Wed.  I love technology:)  Now on to our adventure..

 The trio and I loaded up and went on a short road trip to the Gator and Friends Petting Zoo today.  It is right outside of Shreveport.  We had so much fun!  Cassie your crew would LOVE this place:)

 We feed deer, lamas, goats and even went on a pony ride.

 This is not a great pic but the guy in the yellow was feeding the gators and they were HUGE.  Jd kept saying ooh I want to see them battle!

And of course the highlight holding a baby gator..not to worry Nana I have you a copy printed!
It was a fun trip to begin our last weekend before school starts Monday.  Happy Weekend!!

Missioncation

 In July we loaded up the trio and went on a mission trip with our church.  They call it Missioncation because we served a local children's home in San Antonio but also had lots of time for play.

 This was in the mornings before we headed out for the day.  I believe nothing bonds you as a family better than staying in a motel room together!

 We ate at great restaurants each night.  There were kiddos everywhere!

 Sis got called on to participate with a street magician. 

 The last day we were there, we headed to Schlitterbahn.  It is a huge water park just outside of San Antonio.

 He played until literally he could not go any more!

 It was such a fun week.  It was a great way to let your kiddos see how a community can serve others.  We were very proud of the trio and how each stepped out of their comfort zones ( mom and dad too!) to be the hands and feet.

It's a long one..

 It has been the summer of blog slacking!  I hope to do better once we get back in our routine.  The trio and I just got back from a 10 day trip to Tennessee.  It originally started out only going to be about a week but Thursday turned into Friday then it was Sunday but it was worth every minute we got to soak up with friends and family.

 We started out trip with a stop off in Jackson to see our buddies the Parsons.  We played, laughed, ate and decided there just are not enough hours in the day! We then headed to Nashville to spend the weekend with Nanny and Pa.  We took the kiddos to the science museum.  I am pretty sure this was the first trip that JD will remember.  He was a wild man!!

 My boys LOVED this slide.  It made a certain bodily noise that my little boys just can't get enough of these days.

 After Nashville we headed to see my Granny. 

 Miss J scored some of Granny's jewelry.  She loved it and my granny ate it up.

 We finally made it to Nana's to hang with Auntie and H.  There are always laughs when these four are together.  We spent some time with some sweet friends from Jackson at Reelfoot Lake or Snake Lake as my trio calls it. We went through the museum and walked the boardwalk and of course headed to Tiptonville to the Dairy Queen.

 That is a pretend snake that N has, for if it were real, I would not have been standing there to take the picture:)

 I am having some serious hair envy.  I love Auntie's new color!

We tried to squeeze in every minute we could with this crew.  Auntie, Bubba, and H begin their Virginia adventure very soon.  I can not wait to visit!  My wise sister said sometimes God calls you home before He sends you out again.  I told her she needed to put that on a t-shirt! But seriously, I believe that is so true.  I was almost overcome as I sat in the church that I had sat in as a young woman praying that the Lord would make me a wife and mother. Now my sweet family almost fills a pew:)  It was a sweet reminder that  He is always faithful.  It may not be in the timing that I think is right but His timing is absolutely perfect and I can't wait to see what blessings He has in store for the Hutson crew.
