Texas, fun run and a cheetah

 N's class did a project on Texas.  They presented it to parents on Friday.  Jd was under the weather so hubs was on photo duty and did a great job:)

 On Sat the duo participated in a fun run that was sponsored by the school.

J has been doing an awesome job this year in softball.  We are biased but so proud of our girl! 

I have to share this story from our kiddos.  Our cat Oreo got into the neighbors yard and had a bad run in with their dog:(  As we were explaining this to the kiddos, preparing ourselves for a big talk about life and death, this was their reaction.  N had big tears, J wanted to know if we could now get a dog and JD wants a baby cheetah because in his words "they don't cost very much".  I believe this paints a fabulous picture of each personality!

Happy Sunday

For my birthday this year I got a subscription to the sewing magazine Ottbre.  This was my first project.  I have had that grey fabric for a while and was tickled to get to use it.  The pants are a pair that we got from auntie and I just adjusted the waist a little.  And yes those are her pink "heel" shoes.  She wears them with everything and I thought they went quite nicely with my azaleas this morning.

Bring on Summer

 My trio can not wait to hit the pool.  However we are having to put in a new liner this year and it is not ready yet. Tues it was about 85 here so I told them to just play in the water hose (and I was praying that daddy did not have plans of mowing!)  I am just as excited about summer time as they are.  I am looking forward to a relaxed schedule and lots of sunshine. Come on May !!

A little round of golf

Nanny and Pa came last week to finish up our birthday celebrations.  JD wanted to play and little putt putt so off we went! 

 Daddy did a little showing off by getting a hole in one on the first hole.
