Parents Watch Day

Today was parents watch day at ballet. Miss J did so good. Afterwards we went to eat lunch at Chic-fil-a then headed for a quick trip to hobby lobby. Then we were off to the doctor's office. I am not sure what I was thinking when I scheduled this appt at 1:10 in the afternoon but I did. JD had to get his ears rechecked (all was clear!) and J had her 4 year old check up. I mean she has only been 4 since Nov!! She screamed so loud when they gave her the shot I thought my ears were going to bleed! As if we hadn't done enough we headed to Target to let her pick out a happy. So needless to say this moma made a big pot of coffee when we got home:)

We are in a unit about senses. I remembered making paper maiche(sp)masks in school so I thought we would give it a try, then paint them to be a face.


So far so good, he thought it was a great idea..


that was until I actually put it on him, he was not loving this!

But you know sis, she is bound and determined to do the opposite of Nate so she pretended it was great..

until after the popsicles was gone and then they were done with me and my crazy ideas. So I got a ball and wrapped it up and we are going to paint it to make a face.

I am sure that they will be a little more hesitant when I say "hey guys this is going to be fun!"

And on to the sewing..

I did these sweatshirts for my neighbors little girl. She found them at Kroger for $1.00!! I have wanted to do those little rainboots forever. I needed to buy JD a birthday applique so while there was a sale I got the boots too. I can not believe that in about a month he will be 2!

My girl, isn't she a hoot! Yesterday's weather was sooo nice. We had fun playing before heading back to church last night. The hubs and I actually had a date Sat night thanks to our fabulous neighbors who kept the trio. We went out to dinner and bought a kitchen table! Seriously it was time for a new one. We have out grown ours now that JD is out of the highchair. Hopefully it will be in this week. Hope you have a happy Monday!

This week started out pretty rough. JD was running a fever Monday morning so I called the Dr and we went while sis was in ballet. By the time we got there his fever was 104! WHAT!! It turned out to be strep and an ear infection in both ears. I was literally praying out loud for it not to be the flu. He was still sideways on Tues so I got out my baby sling, strapped him in and went on about the day. I did at one point call hubs and tell him that if I walked out the door when he walked in, no questions where to be asked! Thankfully we are on the mend now. So good in fact I got to do a little sewing this morning:)

I have a hard time finding things to make for this guy, but judging from that smile I think I was successful today!

We were about to walk out this door this morning on our way to MOPS when the snow started. I decided that we would wait and see if J's ballet was cancelled before we loaded up but after about 30 minutes I knew we were having a snow day!


So during naptime I crocheted J this cute headband. Then decided that I wanted to try another head wrap for myself so now at least I will be cute if I can ever get myself back to running:)

Lilly's moma is my sewing buddy on Wednesday nights. We set up shop and let the kiddos play. This is the first time that I have made this pinafore pattern. I love this look and wish J was still little enough to make this and matching bloomers with lots of ruffles...anyway this was an easy pattern so I think this is next week's project!
